About the Research and Development Cell
The Research and Development Cell is an integral part of the activities of Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya College of Education. The cell is established to promote, monitor and address research activities at the college.
The cell facilitates, channelizes, records and regulates academic, sponsored and collaborative research projects, as well as consultancy works undertaken by the college.
In a world increasingly propelled by technology, academic research forms the mainspring of national growth. The key goal of the Research and Development Cell is therefore to provide a creative research ecosystem in which higher studies and research thrive among faculty members, research scholars and students.
Our focus: fostering research culture, strengthening academic collaboration and encouraging innovation in education.
Objectives of the Research and Development Cell
The cell works towards the following institutional research objectives.
To make research a part of the culture in the college.
To inculcate a desire to do quality research in those who are yet to get their Ph.D., and to show more avenues for research to those who have already been awarded their Ph.Ds.
To give necessary guidance to the faculty for pursuing minor and major research projects funded by agencies such as UGC, ICSSR, etc.
To encourage faculty members and scholars to publish research articles in reputed international and national journals.
To promote the periodical participation of faculty and scholars in international and national-level seminars, conferences and workshops.
To collaborate with state, national and international subject experts and academicians to obtain guidance in carrying out meaningful and socially relevant research.
To facilitate faculty members in becoming recognized guides at the universities concerned.
To encourage faculty members to engage in research activities for their professional growth.
To monitor ongoing research projects in the college.
Activities of the Research and Development Cell
The cell supports research through awareness, academic exchange, mentoring, collaboration and access to scholarly resources.
Creating awareness among faculty members, scholars and students about innovations in the field of education.
Motivating and encouraging faculty members, scholars and students to participate in seminars, conferences, workshops, webinars, research colloquia and other brainstorming sessions to share novel ideas and conduct action research.
Motivating and encouraging faculty members to organise international and national seminars, conferences and workshops in innovative areas funded by funding agencies.
Conducting periodic meetings in which faculty members can share their novel ideas in thrust areas and in their respective fields.
Motivating and providing support and guidance to obtain funded projects from funding agencies of national and international repute.
Scouting for new and innovative ideas among scholars and faculty members.
Providing support and academic material resources in libraries and laboratories.
Conducting research colloquia and discussion sessions to refine the research work of scholars.
